The core difference
Structured is a visual time-block planner — tasks become coloured blocks on a vertical day view. It assumes the block you scheduled is the block you have capacity for. Lunar is a capacity-first filter — it asks how much you have today, then surfaces only tasks that match your current energy and cycle phase.
Time-blocking solves the 'when' problem. Lunar solves the 'what can I actually do' problem. For ADHD women with hormonal energy swings, the second problem tends to be bigger.

Who should choose Structured
- Time-blindness is your primary ADHD challenge
- You have many fixed appointments needing a visual day view
- Calendar integration is essential to your workflow
- Your energy is relatively consistent week-to-week
Who should choose Lunar
- Your energy shifts significantly with your cycle
- You've time-blocked a day and then couldn't start anything in the blocks
- You need the task list to shrink on low-capacity days
When time-blocks exist but capacity doesn't
Time-blocking assumes your limiting constraint is time. For ADHD women on a cycle, the limiting constraint is often executive function capacity. You can have a perfectly blocked 8-hour day and still not be able to initiate the first task. During the luteal phase — when estrogen and dopamine drop — task initiation becomes significantly harder. A rigid timeline doesn't adapt to that. Lunar does.
Verdict
Choose Structured if you primarily struggle with time-blindness and need a visual layout of your day. Choose Lunar if the challenge is deciding what to do given how much you have today — especially when your cycle drops your capacity mid-week.
Many ADHD women use both: Structured for fixed commitments, Lunar for deciding which flexible tasks fit the open slots given today's energy.
