The short version
Inflow is closer to an ADHD education app — modules, exercises, community, coaching content. Lunar is an ADHD daily-driver — the planner you open every morning to decide what's getting done. Different jobs.
What Inflow does well
- Structured ADHD learning. CBT-informed modules to understand your brain and build coping strategies.
- Community. Talking to other ADHD adults who get it is genuinely useful.
- Clinical credibility. Built with input from psychologists, with an evidence-based feel.
- Habit tracking. Some lightweight tracking built into the program.
Where Inflow stops
- Not a daily planner. Inflow isn't where you keep your 14 errands and project tasks. It's where you read about ADHD.
- Same content regardless of cycle. The advice doesn't shift when your luteal phase starts and the strategies you learned suddenly stop working.
- No energy filtering. Reading a module about "managing overwhelm" on an actually overwhelming day is its own friction.

Why Lunar exists
Learning about ADHD is necessary. It's also not sufficient. On a luteal-phase morning when your dopamine is in the basement, knowing why doesn't make the laundry start. You need a tool that meets you where you are today, not a lesson about where you are.
Lunar asks two questions and shows you a filtered list:
- Where are you in your cycle? Period, follicular, ovulation, luteal.
- What's your energy right now? Exhausted, low, okay, high.
Then it gives you 2-3 tasks, or 10, depending on what fits. No modules. No homework. Just what you can actually do today.
The hormone–ADHD gap Inflow hasn't addressed
Inflow's CBT-informed content is built around general ADHD management strategies. The challenge: those strategies need to change depending on where you are in your cycle. The impulse control techniques that feel doable during ovulation feel impossible during the luteal crash. Inflow teaches you the same modules regardless of what week it is.
Lunar doesn't teach strategies. It adapts to the day you're actually having. When estrogen drops and your executive function takes a hit, Lunar responds by shrinking your task list — not by giving you a module about managing overwhelm while you're actively overwhelmed.
What a real week looks like
Follicular phase, Wednesday. You open Inflow, complete a module on task initiation. The tips make sense and feel actionable. You open Lunar, check in as "okay" energy, and work through four tasks including one you've been putting off. The learning and the doing are both working.
Luteal phase, Wednesday. You open Inflow. The module is about "when motivation is low." Reading about motivation when you have none is its own particular irony. You close it. You open Lunar, tap "exhausted," and your list collapses to two tasks: send one reply, drink water. You do both. That's enough. No module needed. No guilt that you didn't "apply the strategies."
Common questions
Is Inflow worth it alongside Lunar?
If you're newly diagnosed or want to build a deeper understanding of your ADHD brain, Inflow's content is genuinely valuable — it's clinically informed and thorough. Lunar doesn't teach you anything about ADHD. It just helps you execute on the day you have. They serve different parts of the stack: understanding vs. doing. If you can only pick one daily-driver, Lunar is the practical tool; Inflow is the educational one.
Does Lunar work without understanding your ADHD deeply?
Yes. Lunar is designed for immediate use — you don't need to complete onboarding modules, understand your executive function profile, or know your ADHD subtype. You open it, tap your energy level, and get a task list. The cycle-awareness layer deepens over time as you log check-ins, but it's useful from day one with no prior ADHD knowledge required.
Does Lunar have a community like Inflow's?
Lunar has live body doubling sessions — real-time silent co-working rooms with other women. It's not a forum or community in the Inflow sense, but many users find working alongside other people more useful than reading about ADHD community support. Different forms of connection, different purposes.
If you came from Inflow
Keep Inflow for the understanding. Use Lunar for the doing. They're genuinely complementary tools — Inflow builds the mental model, Lunar meets you where the model breaks down (usually around day 22 of your cycle). Try Lunar free for a cycle and notice if the daily friction — the gap between knowing what to do and actually starting — gets smaller.
